NEW TO OUR SPACE?
Are you new to Woven or to yoga and the healing arts in general?
We welcome you to our space and are so pleased you have found us. We all start out as beginners, and we honor the sacred journey of joining a new community! Here are some helpful tips to best acquaint you to our space before you arrive. If you have any other questions we did not address, please contact us at email@example.com.
We are a healing space for self-discovery and wellness. To honor this process, we kindly ask for this awareness for the space etiquette:
You will find ample street parking.
Please do not park in the lot next to the building.
It is designated for other tenants. Thank you.
ENTERING THE SPACE
Upon entering, please remove your shoes and place them in the provided cubbies.
You will be greeted by our friendly front desk attendant.
Please obtain the required Woven waiver and complete.
All payments must be completed before entry into the main studio to attend classes.
You may place your personal belongings in the cubbies as well.
We always lock the space during classes.
We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
MAT RENTAL & PROPS
We offer mat rental for $2 per mat. If you have your own, please bring it with you.
We have blocks (both cork and foam), blankets, bolsters, straps and eye pillows in the studio for students to use during classes.
No props of Woven may be taken from the studio.
We provide Carlsbad Alkaline water, located in the main studio.
We have small paper cups in case you forget to bring your own.
We encourage you to bring your own water bottle in helping us to be mindful of our impact on Earth Mother.
We have a restroom in the front area of the space. It is a uni-sex bathroom.
Our building is old and we ask that you be mindful of waste in our plumbing system.
WHAT TO WEAR TO CLASS?
This is always a subjective matter, however, we can suggest some ideas to better assist you in how to dress for classes.
If you plan to attend a more yoga asana focused class, we suggest clothes that you are comfortable moving around in, stretching and being in inverted postures.
If you plan to attend a more restorative, soundscape and yinki class, we suggest comfortable clothing and layers for if you get cold, especially in the cooler months.
WHAT IF I AM RUNNING LATE TO CLASS?
Great question! This happens to us all at times. Here is what we ask.
For all classes, when entering the front area, please arrive quietly for class has already begun. Take a deep breath. You made it!
The front desk attendant will check you in and they will inform you when the class has begun to move after the guided mindfulness check-in and you may enter the main studio quietly then.
We do not admit anyone late into classes after 15min from the start of class time.
If you are late to Soundscapes, we suggest calling us to let us know you are running late, and quietly enter as soon as you can. No need to wait for this style of class, only.
WHAT IF I NEED TO LEAVE CLASS EARLY?
Another great question. While we encourage students to stay to the end of a class for the final resting pose, we understand that sometimes we just have other things to get to.
If you need to leave early, inform your teacher at the start of class, so she/he is aware of your movements as the class settles for the end.
Please plan to leave BEFORE the final resting pose.
We encourage you to take your own savasana (final resting pose) before you go if you can.
Please leave quietly and mindfully to not disturb the other students.
